Well its official, the weather has become ridiculously cold and the evenings are darker.....Autumn has certainly arrived and Winter will soon be upon us. Anyone who knows me, are well aware that I HATE the weather at this time of year.
At the beginning of October, I was convinced that this year I would not make it through the harsh winter we are destined to have (a tad over dramatic I know, but it helps to set the scene!). But I was suddenly struck by an interesting looking pair of boots that gave me a glimmer of hope. My fashion savvy conscience said to me "If you buy those boots, you'll make it to Spring!"
The boots in question are a hybrid of a traditional brogue and a knee high boot. With side zips and lace up detail, I couldn't recommend these boots more. Take a trip down to Office to check them out! xx

Something for the guys....
Alot of my guy friends always complain about not being able to find a good coat. This got me thinking that:
a) I was surprised that my guy friends even saw this as a concern, considering that they could care less about fashion, what's on trend, and how they can 'work the look'.
AND
b) It actually is difficult to find a good winter coat for a guy.
Now, for all those men that are uber confident in their style choices and can carry anything off I salute you, however, you my friends just may be in the minority.
Some guys don't want to make a statement with clothing, they just want it to be practical. Well, I think you can be practical but still throw a touch of style into the mix.
I set myself the challenge of trying to find a good, practical winter coat for a man, with the criteria that it can't be too formal or too scruffy. It also has to be adaptable for different scenario's - work, going out, hanging out with friends blah blah blah etc.
I suddenly realised that this could be extremely difficult.......
......but then I came across a coat that could fit the specifications. Ahhhhhh Zara! How did we cope before you came into our lives!
You can't go wrong with Zara, single breasted coat with a zip and knit detail on the collar and cuffs. £139.00 but it's high street at it's best people!

The fickle world of fashion
What the fudgery is going on here?? Less than 48 hours after I gave a thumbs up to Daisy Lowe's fabulous Gareth Pugh dress which was worn at the GQ awards, she turns up in this crazy outfit at the re-opening of the Chanel store in SoHo.
I know, I know, lace is 'in' for this season, but the dress reminds me of net curtains. But I suppose this is a true example of fashion, one woman's insane outfit is another woman's cutting edge!

All-in-one & one for all!
Some of you will think it's genius, some of you will think 'what were you thinking??', I say 'I don't care dammit!' I couldn't resist buying a pair of all-in-one pyjamas (with feet) from Primarni aka Primark.
Judging by the sub-zero temperatures we had last winter, I decided to be prepared - no chance of cold feet here!
Let me set the scene: Wondering aimlessly in the high street warzone, otherwise known as Primark on a Saturday afternoon. Confused, tired, hungry and irritable, I stumbled across those jim-jams and had to have them. The rest is history......oh, did I mention they are fleece too!

Why 'what the fudge?'
If anyone was wondering why I decided to call the blog 'What the fudge?' please refer to exhibit A below:
Seriously, Alexandra, What the fudge are you wearing??! The GQ Men of the year awards took place last night, however this dress doesnt look great. I love Matthew Williamson and love colour, but something here just aint right!
Someone on the night who got it right was Daisy Lowe wearing Gareth Pugh. The grey stripes, floor length and 'Morticia Addams-esque' bottom detail shouldn't work BUT it does!
Here's a little something for the guys that are reading, I've always liked Mark Ronson's look and last night was no exception, comfortable in his look and carries it with confidence.....although not too sure about the hair.

EEEEEEEK, my first official post!
OK, so this is my first official post, hopefully my first of many. After much encouragement, I've buckled under the pressure and have decided to start my own blog.
I'll try and make it as entertaining as possible and I'll aim to post at least once a day.....
I'm blogging for guys and gals who like 'fashion' and the celeb take on fashion, so pop by every now and then to see what I'm jabbering on about!
signing off for now, but I'll be back soon peeps x
p.s. fyi - all those knuckleheads (you know who you are) who talked me into starting this blog, you better spread the word!
